Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Approach

How we work.

Abdominoplasty is the most patient-specific operation we perform. We measure your skin laxity, the spread of your rectus muscles, and the position of your hipbones — and we draw the incision so it disappears under low-rise clothing.

  • Diastasis recti repair included
  • Low, hidden incision design
  • Lipocontouring of the flanks routine

Stylised illustration. Real patient imagery is shown in consultation only, with written consent.

Candidacy

Are you a candidate?

We tell you honestly at the first consultation. Final decisions are made after a cooling-off period of at least two weeks.

  • Completed family planning (recommended)
  • Stable weight for at least 6 months
  • BMI under 30 ideally
  • Non-smoker, no untreated diabetes
What to expect

Three stages. No surprises.

  1. 01

    Pre-operative protocol

Two weeks of supplements to optimise tissue healing. Daily walking, light cardio, no alcohol.

  2. 02

    Surgery and overnight stay

You will spend one night with us. Pain control is led by a dedicated anaesthetist; most patients are walking the same evening.

  3. 03

    Post-operative weeks

Drains for 5 — 10 days. Compression garment for 6 weeks. Driving at week 3, gym at week 6.

Recovery

A timeline you can plan around.

Final, settled results appear at 6 — 9 months.

  1. 01

    Week 1

Bent posture, light walking, drains in place.

  2. 02

    Week 2

    Drains removed. Standing fully upright.

  3. 03

    Week 3 — 4

Return to office work. Driving resumes.

  4. 04

    Week 6

    Cardio resumes. Lifting light weights.

  5. 05

    Month 6

Scar fading well. Final contour visible.

Risks

What you should know.

No operation is without risk. The list below is a summary — it is personalised to you at consultation.

  • Visible scar (low, designed to hide)
  • Temporary numbness above the incision
  • Seroma — managed with drains/aspiration
  • Wound healing risk in smokers

Common questions.

Before your consultation

Wear underwear you actually own to consultation — it tells us where to hide the scar.
