Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Look rested, not redone.

Upper, lower or four-lid blepharoplasty performed under local anaesthesia with sedation. The lines we make sit inside the natural lid crease and the lash margin — invisible by design.

Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Approach

How we work.

Conservative resection. We remove only the skin we must, and we never hollow the eye. Hollowed eyes look exhausted; we are working in the opposite direction.

  • Hidden incision technique
  • Fat repositioning, not removal
  • Same-day awake recovery

Stylised illustration. Real patient imagery is shown in consultation only, with written consent.

Candidacy

Are you a candidate?

We tell you honestly at the first consultation. Final decisions are made after a cooling-off period of at least two weeks.

  • Adults with redundant upper lid skin or lower lid bags
  • Healthy tear film and ocular surface
  • No untreated thyroid eye disease
  • Non-smokers preferred
What to expect

Three stages. No surprises.

  1. 01

    Pre-op consultation

A clinical eye exam is included — dry eyes are screened for and addressed before surgery.

  2. 02

    Operation

1 — 2 hours, comfortably awake. Most patients describe it as 'a long check-up'.

  3. 03

    Post-op

Cool compresses, head elevated for 48 hours, sutures out at day 5 — 7.

Recovery

A timeline you can plan around.

Final, settled results appear at 6 — 8 weeks.

  1. 01

    Day 1 — 3

    Bruising and swelling peak.

  2. 02

    Day 7

    Sutures out. Make-up resumes.

  3. 03

    Day 10 — 14

    Most return to public life.

  4. 04

    Week 6

    Final settled appearance.

Risks

What you should know.

No operation is without risk. The list below is a summary — it is personalised to you at consultation.

  • Temporary dry eye sensation
  • Visible scar (heals to a fine line)
  • Asymmetry needing minor adjustment (rare)
  • Lower lid malposition (uncommon)

Common questions.
